The Jesuit Retreat Center of Los Altos — El Retiro San Iñigo was founded in 1925 on 38 wooded acres in the serene hills above Los Altos in Northern California.
For 86 years, the JRC has offered a comprehensive range of retreats to people throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, from around California, and, indeed, from numerous countries—all rooted in the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits).
Beautiful vistas, quiet hideaways, dynamic liturgies, enticing and challenging presenters, delicious food — these all come together to make for a sacred place where so many have come to pray for so many years.
We invite you to consider a retreat here at El Retiro — individually directed, silent, conversational, or preached — however God is calling you at this time.
Our ministry is built on the rich Ignatian heritage and rooted in the Sacred Scriptures of our Christian, Catholic tradition.
