The Jesuit Retreat Center has been blessed with the long service of Ms. Teresa Silveira, who began working here in 1988. Retreat Director, Fr. Jim Hanley used to call her "the baby of the house." She currently holds the position of Kitchen Manager, overseeing scheduling, menu development, purchasing and managing her kitchen staff. One of the main reasons she enjoys working at El Retiro is because of the great people she gets to work with, the Fathers and the rest of the staff.
Over the years she has raised her daughter and son, and now has the pleasure of being very close to her granddaughter. Teresa and her family attend Five Wounds Parish in San Jose.
