Dr. Josefina J. Card
Dr. Josefina J. Card was born and raised in Manila, Philippines, the oldest of eight children. She first came to the U.S. at age 21 as a Fulbright scholar. She received her PhD in Social Psychology from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. She is the Founder, President and CEO of Sociometrics Corporation in Los Altos, CA. The company has been a pioneer in evidence-based medicine. It translates behavioral and social science research findings into printed, electronic and online products that have been shown by rigorous scientific evaluations to promote health and prevent disease. Dr. Card is a member of the Peter Favre program. She resides in Los Altos Hills with her husband, Dr. Stuart K. Card. They have two daughters, Gwyneth and Tiffany.
